We took a modular approach, and have now got 20 or so products which use a central core pupil database (our own, or any other) to provide a host of pupil management applications.

We started the use of workflow to manage SEN casework in 1993.

This has been refined to the point that the complete pupil management work of an LEA can be handled using a massive modular workflow.

To allow clients to begin small the workflows are also modular - and can communicate with each other as more modules go into service at your site.
